Coral Castillo is a Mexico City-born fashion designer known for creating sculptural womenswear that balances strength, femininity, and artistic expression. Her designs explore the relationship between structure and softness through dramatic silhouettes, intricate textures, layered details, and innovative draping techniques.
Inspired by her early exposure to dressmaking through her mother, Coral began designing for private clients before pursuing formal studies in Fashion Design at The Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Her work has received international recognition, including the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator Award in 2019, winning an episode of Stitched in 2018, and becoming a finalist on Project Runway.
Her collections have been featured in leading fashion publications including Vogue, Elle, and WWD. Alongside fashion design, Coral is also a skilled macramé artist and incorporates sustainable practices, eco-conscious materials, and handcrafted techniques into her creative process.
